Kidnapped Abuja musician, band members regain freedom

Nigerian Juju musician known as Omoba De Jombo Beats and his crew members allegedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen while returning from an event in the Federal Capital Territory have reportedly regained freedom from their abductors.

A video shared by a Nigerian musician, Adegbodu Taiwo, also known as Ejireadegbodu on his verified Instagram account showed them alighting from a bus after they were released in the early hours of Thursday.

Our correspondent had earlier reported that the musician and his band members were allegedly abducted in Abuja on Sunday.

All efforts to reach Omoba De Jombo Beats proved abortive as of the time of filing this report

Nigerians have, however, continued to react to the video of the safe release of Omoba De Jombo Beats and his crew.

An Instagram user, known as iam_nadinemay while reacting to the video, wrote, “Thank you, Jesus.”

Another Instagram user, eyesans_pride, wrote, “Thank God.”
